2008?!?!?!

2008 is literally right around the corner (40 minutes to be exact!!). One of my resolutions is to be a better blogger in the new year! I have so many photos to share...I promise to post soon.
But, for now, I wish each of you a Happy New Year! May God bless you!

Snow much fun!

Snow has hit the midwest! We woke up yesterday to a 2-hour delay! Ater school today, Evan and Nick (neighbor) played outside...Easton begged to go! I caved in - poor kid has never really got to "play" in the snow and he's going to be 3 (not that I'm a mean mom, but he's been sick every winter!). He LOVED it! Did not want to come in!

Luckily Evan didn't tell Easton to stick his tongue on the basketball pole!!! (don't you just love the snow covered gloves - yes, he is wearing gloves!!)

I'm sure we'll be spending many more days out in the snow this winter!

Happy Birthday!!

Evan celebrated his 9th birthday with his friends today. We went to the "All Star Sports Experience" - the boys loved it! They had a basketball tournament, ate hot dogs, popcorn, and brownies, and watched the Ohio St./Michigan game.

Are these not the cutest boys ever??? Don't let the picture fool you - they don't show this kind of love to one another very often!

It's hard to believe how fast my boys are growing up!

Happy Halloween!

Our town actually had trick-or-treat last night (and the weather was perfect!!). Here are some pictures of my "little monsters":

Evan (aka Frankenstein):

All little E talked about was being "black Spiderman" for Halloween...unfortunately they didn't have a costume to fit him, so we settled for red (and he was scared of his mask!):

My boys:

By 7:30 p.m., this was E-Man...he was worn out (best night's sleep he's had in weeks!!):

Also, be sure to check out Becky Higgins blog (one of my favorite scrapbookers). My Christmas project I made is pictured!!! It always excites me to see MY NAME on a "famous" blog!!!!

Update on Easton and football

Monday was Easton's surgery. He ended up having to get his second set of tubes, along with the removal of his adenoids and tonsils. He is doing much better today - you can tell when his pain medicine begins to wear off - he gets mean and cranky! He was such a trooper (had to buy him 2 new wrestlers on the way home!!). The doctor said he has permanent hearing loss in his left ear - we will be getting a hearing test soon. I thought now would be a perfect time to lose the pacifier, but he wants it all the time!

This photo was from last week...

...and this one on Tuesday at lunch - he was hungry, yet didn't feel good and got very upset with me!

Also, Evan is now done with football!! Here are a few pictures from his last game (green team, #25):

Holiday Project

This project was recently on Becky Higgins blog - I immediately had to make one for myself! The one with gold ribbon is for my Grandma for Christmas - she doesn't read my blog, so I'm safe! This was a quick, fun, and inexpensive project! The frame and glass pebbles are from Target...the paper is new from Basic Grey! Here is Grandma's:
I added rub-ons to the paper circles...
A close-up of the glass pebbles:
The frames are awesome! (Sorry, Becky, I had to have the ones just like yours!!)

Quick Update

Today was Evan's last football game (I will post pictures later) - I think we are all glad the season is done: three nights of practice each week and a game on Saturday makes for a tired 8-yr old and a grumpy mom!! Now we move onto basketball!! I don't remember starting sports this young...blows me away how much there is for our kids to be involved in!

Easton will be having surgery on the 22nd - tonsils/adenoids. We are so looking forward to a happy, healthy toddler! He has been such a trooper through all this...he may need some new wrestlers when this is all said and done!

I am suppose to be at a scrapbooking weekend right now, but being the great mom that I am, I got up at 6:30 this morning to drive an hour home to see Evan's last game (I wouldn't have missed it for anything). Now, off to a Bead Retreat, then back to scrapbooking. I will post pictures of my finished projects later - I hope to get more done toady than last night! Dawn couldn't believe I was going to be at 11:30! (By the way - Dawn, I am SO glad you came to scrap with us!! It has been great catching up with you and I hope to stay in touch better!!!)

Well, stay warm today, and GO BOILERS!!!

Long overdue...

Sorry, I've been an extremely bad blogger...no excuses, just swamped right now!

A couple of photos of my obsessive compulsive son...this is his new "thing" - not sure if it feels good in his sore ears to lay on the air conditioning vent, or what, but when I can't find him, this is normally where he is "hiding out"! Too cute!

This one sure keeps me on my toes!!! He is going to be having surgery soon, so I haven't tried too hard to take away that ugly thing hanging from his mouth!!

An evening in the Park

I spent an evening recently in the park, taking photos of my friend Sharon and her husband, Bill. He was such a good sport, especially when his wife made him wear a tattoo (actually, it was a scrapbooking rub-on)!! These are just a few of my favorites!!

Thanks, guys! I hope you enjoy!

Big Game

Today was the big day - Evan's first football game! He has waited 8 years for this (granted he's only going to be nine in a few months, but...) - football has always been his life. He's been going to watch Purdue since he was a year old - whenever I ask him what he wants to do when he gets older, he says play football. I ask him what he's going to go to college for - he says to play football! (You get my point.) If they would have played a 5th quarter, I think he would have been ready. By the end of the fourth, he was getting more aggressive, going after his guy. He had fun, though, and that's all that matters!

After the game, Easton told him, "Good job, bubba!" - he was so proud of his big brother!!

Friday Night Lights

This year, my nephew, who is a senior, decided he wanted to finish his high school career playing football (he hasn't played since middle school!!). Of course my husband was ecstatic because now we have a reason to sit in the bleachers on Friday nights. I was able to take some great shots prior to the pouring rain (and don't mind the little black dots in the pictures - they are just the swarms of mosquitoes that were on the field!!)

Go lions!!!

Labor Day Weekend

We had some fun at Lake Michigan on Sunday - Easton and his tiger lollipop and Evan with his smarties (that he doesn't even like!).
It was such a nice day - a great breeze off the water!

Summer Recap

It has been too long since I posted any photos - sorry! I have no new photo shoots to share, so I thought I would highlight some of my favorite pictures from the summer!

Evan's baseball team won the end-of-the-season tournament after a hard fought weekend of games! Here he is with "coach":

My boys having fun at the park (not sure what made Easton laugh so hard!)

This is my favorite baseball picture! And yes, I did the colorizing of this (this is available with any photo shoot for an additional charge).

Here is a great photo of E-man (he's going to be a heartbreaker someday!!) - this one, too, has been Photoshopped...

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to have more photos to share with you soon! (I have been so busy I haven't even taken any of my own kids!)

Caution

I prepped the boys all week, especially Easton, about getting pictures taken - they both had too much fun in the water to stop for mom to snap some shots. Luckily, the few I got I really like. Matt and I both saw the yellow sign and immediately knew that had to go in the picture! Perfect warning about our boys!

A day at the Beach

We spent the afternoon at the beach - photographing one of my best friends and her family! Kirsten and I met in college and have been friends for 11 years this month! I can't believe it has been that long. Despite the rain, we were able to get quite a few pictures!
